Author Bio For Theodora Cutler:

I was born in Harare, into the newly independent Zimbabwe. My early years were spent running free on a farm in Shamva with dogs, chickens, and geese as my friends and playmates. As idyllic as that may sound, sadly it was not and I learnt at an early age what corruption, greed and hate looked like.

We eventually moved into the city of Harare where my father resumed his work with the courts and I went to the Dominican Convent for A'levels and Commercial studies.

Through the years there have been many learning curves and lessons, none cut so deep as losing my father at nineteen. But on and on the wheel moves and life continues through all the ups and downs.

I spent ten years on the stage for various productions at the local Reps theatre, both as an actress, stage crew, and a stage manager. I contemplated directing but when one is of an obsessive-compulsive nature, there are seemingly few people who can truly match up to your creative-perfective desires and my preferred genre is drama; something which has substance, a message, so that once you leave the theatre, people are still in awed silence, still caught in that "other world", under a spell, and have satiated both mind and spirit. Not exactly musical comedy ;)

I have studied creative writing through Unisa and continue on the adventure of studying as much as my mind will learn.

Now, thankfully I live by the sea with my mother, eighteen cats, six dogs, and a parrot.

Life is what it is.
